San Ramon, California, August 10, 2006: Salient Technology and Lead Image signed off distribution contract in Taipei, Taiwan, today.

In a private ceremony held in the company’s Taipei office, Salient Technology and Lead Image Technology Co. Ltd., Taiwan, signed off a distribution contract to grand Lead Image the full distribution rights of all Salient products in the Taiwan market today.

“This is an excellent match between our two organizations,” commented Salient President and CEO, Dr. Robbie Liu. “With the local market presence and the established distribution channel of Lead Image we think a lot market development can be accomplished in Taiwan very quickly. And, of course, we will have to work very hard and very closely to each other.”

Lead Image planned to start the market push in late September, 2006, with the newly released VM-108 and VM-203 models first. Over 150 retail stores and TV Shopping will be involved in the early stage of market development operations.
